Yggdrasil strengthens Northern footprint with Betsson Lithuania partnership

Yggdrasil continues to strike a successful partnership. The popular iGaming supplier and developer has inked a deal with Betsson Group. Thanks to the deal, the pair will be working together to expand Betsson’s footprint in Lithuania.

Betsson will be operating in Lithuania through its dedicated brand, Betsafe. Effectively, the partnership already extends on a bilateral relationship that was struck back in 2014. Yet, this is another opportunity for Yggdrasil to continue to scale its presence in new places and under different brand names.

It has taken Betsson a while to consolidate its position in Lithuania, but since 2016, the brand has been fully present in the country’s online gaming market. That coincided with a reorganization of the regulatory landscape.

Naturally, both Betsson and Yggdrasil are looking to start operations in markets that operate in a less risky regulatory environment. In short, that makes Lithuania a perfect pick for both.

What’s in the Partnership?

Having first signed a partnership in 2014, Yggdrasil and Betsafe have a lot to build upon. Yggdrasil, for its own part, has serviced multiple important gaming markets in Europe. Those include Italy, Spain, Latvia and Denmark.

Now, the know-how the company has collected can be successfully invested back in Lithuania. While the deal is already active, the two companies will take a while to actually start working together.

Yggdrasil is planning to release its full portfolio at some point in April. Meanwhile, Betsafe is already planning on the delightful titles it wants to see added and Yggdrasil definitely has quite a few of those to add.

One particular highlight includes Temple Stacks Splitz, a title that will introduce the so-called Splitz mechanics for some alternative opportunities to get a big payout. Meanwhile, there are games such as Neon Rush which will also come together with the portfolio.

Focusing on Promotional Tools

Yggdrasil and Betsafe want to make sure that their products will get sufficient coverage and that’s where clever promotional techniques come in handy. Through the use of specific promotions, the companies will seek to not only draw players but also engage and retain them.

Yggdrasil Head of Nordics, Patrick Nordwall confirmed that any extension of the current relationship with Betsson is a welcome development. Furthermore, Yggdrasil finds itself in a position where it’s actively seeking to add to its partnership list and strengthen existing partnerships.

Nordwall also explained that:

on top of Splitz, Yggdrasil is eager to introduce Gigablox, another fresh approach to iGaming as it is.

Betsson’s top brass also welcomed the news about the expansion. Ciara Nic Liam said that Yggdrasil’s titles have been extremely popular around the world and that Lithuania should be no different.
