Yggdrasil Gaming Released Its First Title From Global Content Programme YGS Masters – Niagara Falls
Yggdrasil Gaming has proceeded with the release of its first title that will make up a part of its global content programme known as YGS Masters. The game, known as Niagara Falls, brings forth a retro 1930s feel to it, and has been created by the YGS Masters partner studio, Northern Lights.
Anyone accessing the game will experience a wonderfully classic feel, featuring a selection of inbuilt features as well as multipliers that can provide huge pay-outs to gamers. It contains a standard five-reel, three-row setup and utilises traditional slot machine symbols on its reels. This means that you’ll get to see imagery of icons like the bell, cherries, orange, number 7 and other such retro inclusions. Of course, the basic symbols aren’t the only intriguing parts of Niagara Falls. It has some appealing inbuilt features to enjoy, too.
For example, if you manage to spin a gold coin into view on the fifth and final reel, you’ll trigger the game’s Coin Drop Bonus function. This can bring anything from free spins right through to wilds and multiplier bonuses into operation, so you’ll want to keep a close eye on that fifth reel. It could very well provide you with more action than you realise.
To add to that, if you manage to spin three bonus symbols into view on the first, third and fifth reels, then the free spins bonus round is triggered this way. And watch out for the triggering of the Cash Fall Bonus function, which will allow you to access cascading coins that can lead you on to even larger wins.
More on the YGS Masters Platform
Yggdrasil Gaming crafted the YGS Masters platform as a semi-open and invitation-only offering, which was launched as a response to the market’s need for specific content and differentiation. Through it, independent studios are invited via a selection process to both develop and distribute gaming content.
Since launching, Yggdrasil has invited and signed six of the world’s best developers to the platform, with a high level of interest being generated from various others looking to become involved with it. With this, Yggdrasil can not only propel its own established gaming software, but create a global roadmap as well, ensuring that the best games and overall consumer experience are available within the industry.
Speaking of the first game release on YGS Masters, the Head of Partnerships for Yggdrasil, Stuart McCarthy said that the company is “delighted” with the Northern Lights slot. He went on to state that it provides a “unique theme”, combining this with the recognisable landmark that is the Niagara Falls. He finished by saying that the game release marks the beginning of what he expects to be an exciting roadmap for YGS Masters products before bringing up the remaining five other partner studios as well.
CEO of Northern Lights, Andrew Goodale said that his company is the first one to commit itself to the YGS Masters programme, which it has greatly benefitted from. He went on to say that Niagara Falls is filled with “classic symbols and rapid-fire gameplay”. Because of this, he spoke of it fitting perfectly into the portfolio of Yggdrasil’s market-specific products. Also referring to the other partners of YGS Masters, Mr Goodale said that Niagara Falls will soon find itself joined by multiple other offerings, which will see the catalogue of titles rapidly expand.
