Microgaming Releases Sidewinder – An exciting, fresh new video slot with a twist
Microgaming has released its newest slot for September, Sidewinder. Engineered to produce exciting winning combinations and action-fuelled gaming, it is the creation of Just For The Win, a division of Microgaming and the seventh slot.
It is the seventh slot Just For The Win has released on behalf of Microgaming and is the second release of this series. The first, Rainbrew was met with much fanfare and continues to rate among popular slots with casinos offering the Microgaming library of slots.
Sidewinder features a unique design that includes free spins and expanding wild symbols. The five reel, three-row design features horizontal above and below the reels where wild symbols can appear. This will trigger the arrows above and below to spin where additional wilds can line up to trigger additional wilds and expanding wilds to fall into position. This allows the slot to potentially increase its 243 ways to win to 1125.
The horizontal reels above and below are active in both the base game and free spins. If a wild appears on the top horizontal reel, it will trigger the bottom horizontal reel to spin. If a wild appears on the bottom reel, then the top reel will spin and allow for additional wilds to fall into position. If one wild is activated, the ways to win increase to 576, but if wilds are seen on both the top and bottom horizontal reels, the ways to win are increased to 1125.
The free spins that are featured are triggered by the Sidewinder symbol appearing on the second and fourth reel. This will trigger the top and bottom horizontal reels to spin with hopes additional sidewinder symbols stopping on either reel. Should three sidewinders be seen, six free spins are awarded, four will increase the free spins to 10. When the free spin are active, the ways to win to 1125, and each free spin will see the horizontal reels activate. This will increase chances at winning additional free spins or extra wild symbols.
