High 5 Games unveils Hot Blox

High 5 Games New Hot Blox

Prominent iGaming software developer High 5 Games recently set the gaming floor on fire with its latest release titled Hot Blox. The players are sure to have a lot of fun as they navigate the nine 2×2 reel boards and feed the fire with active multipliers!

The Symbol Fusion Feature is the game’s highlight and fuses all four symbol positions in a given reel to form a single symbol. All the other reels outside the winning combination will continue changing while filling the red meter around the icons. When the players manage to get a reel fully charged, it will remain hot for the next four spins, and trigger Multiplier wins.

Speaking at the time of launch, the Head of Game Design at High 5 Games, Phil Welty explained the mechanism behind the Symbol Fusion functionality.

“Hot Blox mixes novel and innovative gameplay with a theme and plot that will appeal to the video gaming enthusiasts. A win is triggered when 2×2 blocks of small symbols combine to form a matching big symbol across the reels. But the real fun is when the meter heats up with every successive miss on a given block until a fully charged meter unloads a ton of additional multipliers.”

He also added:

“The appeal of slowly building up the heat will keep the players engaged even through the losses. Multiple ignited meters can offer progressively amplified rewards, up to 100x the base amount. Thus, creating a volatile experience with a massive potential for winning. We can’t wait for the players to try their hands at the game.”

Bonus and Features

Hot Blox flaunts a unique setup with nine mini 2×2 grids. Landing a single large symbol across the reels forms a winning combination. This is called the Symbol Fusion feature. The players need at least three 2×2 combinations to secure a win while each box around the mini-grids flaunts a meter which fills after 18 unsuccessful spins.

Landing between one and nine charged boxes rewards 2x, 3x, 5x, 7x, 10x, 20x, 30x, 50x, and 100x the current stake. If any of the nine boxes aren’t a part of the winning combination at the end of 20 spins, it will remain fully charged for the next four spins. This can happen to multiple boxes simultaneously or random boxes that weren’t a part of a winning combination for 15 consecutive wins.

A Few Notable Highlights

Hot Blox uses a mix of novel mechanics with heavy rewards to lure gamers, and the plan seems to be working flawlessly. And although dividing the reels into nine grids is a format previously explored, it can get a tad frustrating to navigate.

To be fair, the bonus mechanics is an acquired taste, but you’ll probably enjoy it for the first few days. Hot Blox released this week across High 5 Casino’s partner networks and can be played using real money.
